The organizational structure of Bridge-Gap International
 

Bridge-Gap is non membership in nature. We have volunteers and advisors etc with separate roles in the organization.
Sponsors/Donors- This are individual/private people, donor agencies and funding bodies and other international sponsors that give money and donate other resources equipment, time skills etc to Bridge-Gap. This is the most important group because without them bridge-Gap will not be able to fund its activities and projects.


Trustees- The Board of trustees approves and monitors the project activities. They are involved in fundraising and guide the other groups.
Advisors- they give useful advice and support on the project design and implementation.


Management Staff & Volunteers- Manage the projects and programs, implement planned projects. Also donate their time (full or part-time), skills and training. All staff and volunteers are appointed by the Board of trustees.


Partners & Networks- These are other foreign and local non charitable organizations that Bridge-Gap work with to achieve its objectives- like community based organizations, age grade, associations, men and women groups etc


Beneficiaries- These are another important stakeholders being the recipients of projects implemented- they are the people, their villages and communities that Bridge-Gap assists to improve their well being. In most cases, they help in implementing planned projects.

The main duties of the Management and Board of Trustees

The main duties including: advocacy, fundraising and implementing various projects as well as consolidating viewpoints and interests of local communities into coherent agenda for action and recommending and supporting these at the various levels of the decision making process by policy-making bodies such as local government and international development agencies. The also actively support local communities in organizing themselves and developing capacities and resources to respond efficiently to their identified needs.

Other services which staff and volunteers provide are technical and managerial skills, training, advisory, business development etc
